Brooklyn roots. A filmmaker’s point of view.
Chop N Shoot Films is a Brooklyn production company led by director, writer and producer Langston Sessoms. Brooklyn born, raised on hip-hop, and trained in dramatic writing at NYU, he spent 15+ years producing for NPR, Yahoo Finance and Paramount Global, where he executive produced for BET Digital on budgets over $3M. He built Chop N Shoot to make branded films with a narrative filmmaker’s eye. His short The Fall was an official selection of the 2026 Pan African Film Festival and the 2025 New York Shorts International Film Festival.
Begin with the people in the story
We care about what a character wants, what gets in the way and the details that make a moment feel lived in. That attention to people shapes our narrative work and the ideas we develop for brands.
Carry the idea through
Development and production belong in the same conversation. We shape concepts and treatments, then plan the approved work around the brief, intended deliverables, scope and budget, bringing collaborators together for the project.
Make room for collaboration
Brands can approach us directly, and agencies are welcome. A useful partnership begins with a shared understanding of the idea, each team’s responsibilities and how creative decisions will be made.

Original ideas, made for your brief.
Bring the brief.
We’ll bring the story.
Tell us who it’s for and when it needs to land. A rough budget helps, and it stays between us.
